Hailing from the west coast circa 2016, the psych-doom trio of High Priestess carry a harmonious message both literally and psychologically through their music.

The band released their first and second albums through Ripple Music and are currently working on their third full-length album. Much of this album was pieced together remotely, but the band is resuming as they are able to.

As their name suggests, the sound is ritualistic: tribal-driven rhythms and harmonizing vocals expressed in pagan-like chanting, immortalizing their earth worship and homage to some greater power. While the sound lies in the stoner-doom-psych realms owing to the 70’s rock and blues moments, there is a 90’s alternative feel within their recordings that provide moments of an easy listening, pop-rock experience, albeit dark-natured. High Priestess is pulsing, vibrating, and mesmerizing and we look forward to hearing how the pandemic inspired their upcoming material.

What can we expect from their next release? “High Priestess continues to get darker, heavier, and more mysterious while maintaining a balance of light and shade, " shares guitarist Katie Gilchrest.

While they create their next album, make time to check out the two they’ve got waiting for you!
