ARTIST SPOTLIGHTS & THINGS OF GENERAL IMPORTANCE
North Carolina’s contemporary hard rock outfit Irata have been crafting their sound since 2007, entailing hypnotic guitar melodies, noise rock inspired vocals, and so many other qualities to make them stand out as heavy and original. The band prides themselves on pulling inspiration from all styles of music, which is evident to the experienced ear.
Since their latest release, Tower (Small Stone Records), Irata took things slowly and responsibly in 2020. They focused on writing individually and remotely piecing things together for some time before getting back into rehearsing together. When we spoke with the band earlier in the year, they mentioned that their main focus would be just getting back together and rehearsing old material and practicing what they had at that point. Their main objective is to get back to live shows and touring.
